Steffi Nossen School of Dance, with two professional dance studios located just across from County Center has weekly dance camps and intensives for pre-school – teen dancers. Register by May 18th and receive a 10% discount!

The summer begins with Story Book Camp for ages 3-5, 5 mornings of movement, music and art with a different children’s story each week. Campers will create dances to stories such as “Peter & the Wolf” and “Sleeping Beauty”, play instruments, build arts & crafts and sing songs based on the week’s story. Friday showings will showcase all your young artist has learned throughout the week.  5 weekly sessions June 11 – July 20th;   9:00 am – noon; Tuition $200 per session

Dance Camp - Steffi Nossen’s 2 week Dance Camp offers technique classes in Modern, Ballet, Jazz, Hip-Hop, and Musical Theater.  Dancers also learn Dance History and Composition, working in small, intimate groups to choreograph their own dances – building communication skills and self-assurance. July 9-20th; 9 am – 3:30 pm.  Showing on the last Friday showcases work throughout the camp. Rising Grades 1 – 5.  No experience required. Tuition $900 (1 week $450). 

Musical Theater Kids (Rising Grades 2 – 6)  Is your child interested in acting, singing, and dancing? Come and train with some of the best professional teachers in the field of Musical Theater.  This is a change to hone acting, voice and dancing skills.  Participants have the opportunity to explore the performing arts within a safe, nurturing and artistically challenging environment.  Daily acting, voice, and dance classes are taught through games, exercises and technique classes culminating in a showcase at the end of the two weeks.  The perfect opportunity for your budding performer! 2-week session, July 23 – Aug 3; Monday-Friday 9:00 am – 3:30 pm.    Tuition $900 (1 week $450).

Musical Theater Intensive (Grades 5-8) Students work with professional voice, acting and dance teachers- all specialists in working with teens. Dancers will learn various techniques to enhance their vocal and acting skills while honing proper dance technique in a fun and supportive environment.  This is a camp targeted to the musical theater actor/singer who needs more intensive dance training as well as the dancer who would like to explore acting and singing.  Beginner – advanced performers.  Culminates in a performance on the last day. July 23rd -August 3rd .

Summer Dance Intensives I (Rising grades 5-8) beginning – intermediate dancers) and II (grades 9 – 12 with previous dance experience) These two-week programs are designed for dancers looking to rapidly improve dance skills and technique, explore new dance styles, and learn from professional dancers and choreographers.  Dancers will take daily classes in Modern, Ballet, Jazz, Musical Theater, and Body Conditioning.  Learning dance history, they will work on creating their own dance compositions to be presented at the Intensive Showing August 17th. August 6 – 17; 9:00 am – 3:30 pm Tuition $900 (1 week $450)

Moving Wheels & Heels Intensive – Barbara & Sabatino Verlezza and Nancy Lushington lead this adaptive, 6-day full day dance experience for students and teachers with and without experience.  Dancers age 16 – adult learn technique and repertory, improve range of motion, explore and express their creativity, and enjoy a collaborative artistic experience. Live music, culminating in performance. Wheelchairs welcome. June 18-23 10 am – 3:30 pm; Tuition $525. 

Moving Wheels & Heels Kids Camp;  the Verlezzas lead campers this adaptive dance program of dance, movement, and related arts activities in a warm, supportive and creative environment while practicing social skills. Families and friends are invited to share students’ experiences. June 25 – 28; 10 am – 12:30 PM; Tuition $225.
