It is not a trick, it could rain pretty heavy this Halloween! Since its a technically holiday for everyone under 13, we don't want you to feel at a lost for things to do. How can you get that trick or treat feeling indoors?

To help keep your children busy when they’re stuck inside not trick or treating, we’ve compiled a list of fun, engaging activities while the weather rages on.

1. Get crafty in the kitchen. Treat your children to some homemade scary goodies you can make together.  Or finally carve those pumpkins sitting on the stoop.article

2. Conduct science experiments: Pretend you and your kids are mad scientists by conducting experiments. One cool experiment to try is “Glow in the Dark Soda.” Take 5 oz. of Green Mountain Dew, add an 1/8th teaspoon of baking soda, and 3 teaspoons of hydrogen peroxide. Shake the mixture well, turn off the lights and watch it glow!

3. Have an indoor camping adventure: Build sheet tents, crack some safety glow sticks, make s’mores with halloween candy in the oven and take turns reading scary “scary campfire” stories to each other.

5. Scavenger Hunts: Try creating a 'scary' scavenger hunt for your kiddos. You could hide trinkets or small toys from the discount store around your house. Halloween decor counts too. Provide them with clues to search the entire house.

6. Watch a Halloween movie.
31 Nights of Halloween Fan Fest on FREEFORM is running a Hocus Pocus Marathon all day!

7. Have an impromptu Halloween party that includes the spooky music channel, costumes, pizza, and Halloween candy of course.

8. Go to the movies to catch a spooky flick. Right now you can see something for any age, when you choose from the new Addams Family cartoon or Maleficent: Mistress of Evil.

9. Trick or treat at the malls. A little known secret is that the malls offered store to store trick or treating. Just dressed and show up to The Westchester and the Jefferson Valley Mall. As an added bonus is that there's a food court for dinner there too.

10. Reschedule Halloween. Gather a group of neighborhood friends and decide not eh new date for  Halloween, and have the kids trick or treat to only those houses on your designated day.
