4th of July Fireworks: Where to Celebrate in Lower Westchester

Below is a list of all the Fourth of July festivities in and around the Westchester Area, to help you find July 4th fireworks, events, parades, crafts, things to do and more for Independence Day 2019 in Yonkers, Rye, Scarsdale, White Plains and more.


July 2


  • City of White Plains Independence Day Celebration with a free community event and fireworks display will take place on Wednesday, July 3 from 6:00 - 10:00 p.m. at White Plains High School on North Street. Residents are encouraged to come early, bring blankets and chairs and enjoy a fun-filled evening of music, games, entertainers, food, and fireworks!


  • Our annual firework display will be held on Tuesday, July 2nd at approximately 9:15 PM at the Scarsdale Pool Complex, accompanied by a performance from the Westchester Band at 7:30 PM. A $5.00 fee will be charged to all non pool members entering the pool starting at 5:00 PM in conjunction with the scheduled fireworks. Beginning at 8:00 PM, ALL individuals entering the pool complex will be charged $5.00. *Alcoholic beverages and glass containers are strictly prohibited.


July 3

  • Yonkers– Cross County Shopping Center We're celebrating Independence Day in style! Join us on Wednesday, July 3rd for a festive fireworks show and concert with the NYC PARTY BAND! The concert takes place on The Green lawn, in the center of the mall from 6:30pm to 9pm.
    The fireworks will be displayed in the north parking lot, the side of the mall that faces the Cross County Parkway, behind Shake Shack. Fireworks begin at 9:30pm.

  • Valhalla- Kensico Dam Celebrate America’s independence with live music and one of the area’s most stunning fireworks shows at the annual Music Fest and Fireworks on Wednesday, July 3, at Kensico Dam Plaza in Valhalla.

  • Dobbs Ferry- Waterfront Park
  • Irvington– Matthiessen Park (village residents only)
  • Mamaroneck- Harbor Island Park
  • New Rochelle– Hudson Park & Five Islands Park
  • Rye–Rye Playland Special Holiday Celebration, Special holiday fireworks choreographed to patriotic music on the pier at 9:30 p.m.
  • Sleepy Hollow– Kingsland Point Park
  • Tarrytown– Pierson Park
  • Yonkers– Historic Pier
